AERIAL I

Tuesday 3:30 - 4:30

Aerial I is strictly for the young beginner 5-7yrs old. Students begin the class series through play, movement exploration, storytelling and skill development on equipment made appropriate for their age . Class is structured with a soft intention and play in mind.

 

AERIAL II

Tuesday 4:30-5:30

Thursday 3:30 - 4:30

Aerial II is one step above our introductory class to circus training for the 5-7yr old. Aerial II is planned for the beginner and can be an introductory class for some 6-9 yr olds. Creative movement, skill introduction, sequence training on silks, trapeze, rope, and hoop are emphasized

JR COMPANY

Monday 3:30 - 4:30

Junior Company students have now graduated from fabric knots to unknotted fabric. Climbing, simple inversions, short sequences, basic body wraps, holds, short and playful image sequences on fabric, hoop, trapeze and rope provide for steady progress toward developing confidence, skill and artistry.

 

TEEN AERIAL

Friday 4:00 - 5:00

It is never too late to start! Teen Aerial is an introductory class for those teens interested in joining Le Cirque Centre. Students will learn a variety of apparatus like silks, lyra, and corde lisse in a supportive environment that encourages individual expression. 

 

Intermediate

 

JR APPRENTICE COMPANY

Thursday 4:30 - 6:00

Jr. Apprentice Company students have graduated from learning basic wraps, climbs, poses, and qualities of movement. Strength and flexibility exercises are repeated throughout their training as aerialists and circus artists. Confidence is developed through skills performed on silks, trapeze, hoop, and rope while performing at greater heights with longer sequences. Students also begin to learn the art of physical acting and character projection.
