Take a deep dive into slack drags, where you wrap from the middle of the fabric instead of the tail. Pulling loops to create wraps and new pathways can transform your classic skills into something new and exciting!

Prerequisites:
Students should have a regular aerial fabric practice, be comfortable inverting in the air, be familiar with dive (aka diaper/flippy/salto) and single star, and have good grip strength.

About The Coach

Chelsea graduated from NECCA’s Intensive Professional Training Program in 2017. Currently located in Brattleboro, VT, Chelsea calls NECCA home. She began her circus career in 2008, leading from a multidisciplinary background in ballet, modern dance, theater, sewing and music theory. Aerial fabric is her first love and highly skilled specialty, though she is a well rounded aerialist, performing on rope, trapeze, cloud swing, sling and spanish web. As a singer- songwriter, pianist and multi-instrumentalist, Chelsea loves to collaborate with musicians to combine music and circus arts.

Her teaching experience includes NECCA, Thrive Movement Studio (Harwinton, CT), Upriver Yoga (Rockport WA), The Aviary/ Airbound Underground (Olympia WA), Arcadia Seattle, multiple locations in Bellingham, WA, plus volunteer work at The Island and St. Mary Redcliffe Secondary School in Bristol, UK. Chelsea has completed Intro through Intermediate level teacher training, injury prevention and aerial rigging courses with New England Center for Circus Arts & Nimble Arts (VT), Versatile Arts (Seattle) and My Aerial Home (London UK).
